1. Collection and processing of personal data, information

Log Files. Just as when you visit and interact with most websites and services delivered via the Internet, when you visit our website, we gather certain information and store it in log files. This information may include but is not limited to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, system configuration information, URLs of referring pages, and locale and language preferences. Such Web visit information is used to generate aggregate statistical data in order to analyze trends and administer the site, and it may be kept in an anonymised form for historical records. IP addresses are not linked to information personally identifiable by us.

Accounts. When you register with Protect ebook.net, we may process your account data ("account data"). The account data may include your name, company name, email address, HTML Executable User ID. We never have access to credit card and other sensitive information.

The account data may be processed for the purposes of providing our ebook protection service, operating our website, ensuring the security of our website and services, identification and authentication, maintaining back-ups of our databases and communicating with you. The legal basis for this processing is your subscription to our service.

Finally, to use the Protect Ebook.net service, payments must be made. We use FastSpring as our payment processor. 3. How We Share Your Information

Personal Information. We will not rent or sell your Personal Information to others. We may share your Personal Information with third parties (such as hosting providers, payment processors, database providers, customer support providers) for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

If we do this, such third parties' will be contractually bound to safeguard your Personal Information. Payment Services. We offer integration with the following resellers: FastSpring, e-junkie and PayPal. All reseller transactions are subject to the respective policies, FastSpring Privacy Policy available , e-junkie available, and PayPal Privacy Policy available. We do not control FastSpring, e-junkie or PayPal's use of the data it collects.

4. Data Transfers outside the EEA

The data that we collect from you may originate from, or be transferred to and stored at a destination outside the European Economic Area ‘EEA’ with third party suppliers, sub-processors and agents.
We only transfer your data when we are satisfied that the level of protection afforded by the implementation of our applications is in accordance with this policy, or that the transfer is to a territory that is deemed adequate by the European Commission or where the recipient is subject to suitable certification and the information is subject to suitable safeguards.

5. How We Protect Your Information

Your Personal Information provided to us will be processed on the computer servers (currently AWS on which our service is hosted). We care about the integrity and security of your account data and implement appropriate technical and organization security measures to safeguard your account data.  Your personal data is transmitted in encrypted form over the Internet via an SSL process (Secure Socket Layer). We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to G.D.G. Software SAS or guarantee that your information on the Protect Ebook.net Service may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. We are not responsible for the functionality or security measures of any third party.

To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify your identity before granting you access to your account. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information, and for controlling access to your email communications from G.D.G. Software SAS, at all times.

6. Compromise of Personal Information

In the event that Personal Information or account data is compromised as a result of a breach of security, we will promptly notify those persons whose Personal Information has been compromised, in accordance with the notification procedures set forth in this Privacy Policy, or as otherwise required by applicable law.

7. Right of information; notification, blocking or deletion; revocation

In accordance to the applicable statutory data protection regulations, individuals have the right to obtain their Personal Information stored by G.D.G. Software and understand the purposes for which we process it. In the secure area of our website called My Account, customers can view their account-related personal data. Please address your request to the email address stated below at clause 10.

If you contact us, we may, for your protection, ask you for additional information to verify your identity. In most cases, we will provide the access you request and correct or delete any inaccurate personal information you discover. We reserve the right, however, to limit or deny your request to the extent permitted by applicable law if the disclosure may lead to a breach of applicable law and regulation, e.g. in case of any legal obligation to retain certain data, or if you have failed to provide sufficient evidence to verify your identity.

You are entitled to have any incorrect data about you corrected. To do this, please contact us and let us know the correct personal data. The correction is made immediately, subject to an integrity check.

You also have the right to request the deletion of personal data held about you. For example, if the personal data was saved without your authorization or knowledge or if the personal data is no longer required in order to fulfill the purpose for which it was saved or to fulfil the role for which the relevant (public) body is responsible.

Instead of deletion, you have the right to have your personal data blocked, if deletion would contravene mandatory storage periods, deletion is not possible or would be unreasonably difficult or it is not possible to determine whether the personal data is correct or incorrect. In the case of deleting your personal data, such data will be deleted by us immediately; if you request blocking, your personal data will no longer be used by us.

If you're a third party (a customer of a company that uses our products) and would like your data removed from our systems, then you must make this request to the company that uses Protect Ebook.net. The request must come through the company that uses our software. We do not store enough data about customers to independently verify customers' identities.

You always have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority for data protection in your jurisdiction.

8. Children's Privacy

This Protect Ebook.net Service is not directed at nor targeted to children. If you have not reached the age of majority or are not able to enter into legally binding agreements in your country, you may not use this Service unless supervised by an adult.  Our goal is to comply with applicable laws and regulations relating to collection and use of information from children as such term is defined by applicable laws.
